HOW SOON SHOULD I BOOK MY MATERNITY SESSION?
Shortly after the first trimester is usually a good time to contact me for availability and book your session date. This ensures we have ample time to prepare for your session.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SCHEDULE MY MATERNITY SESSION?
The "ideal" period to schedule your maternity session date is in the third trimester, specifically between 29 and 33 weeks. This is typically when the baby bump is nicely defined and mom is still fairly comfortable.
However, it's never too early or too late to document this special season that you're in. The goal is for you to have beautiful memories you can share with loved ones.
WHERE WILL THE MATERNITY SESSION TAKE PLACE?
All sessions are photographed in my studio located in Fort Lauderdale, FL east of I-95 before reaching US1, steps away from the Museum of Discovery and Science, Esplanade Park, Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, and restaurants.
If you prefer an outdoor session, a travel fee will apply.
WHAT DOES A MATERNITY SESSION FEE INCLUDE?
Pre-session planning, access to the maternity closet with a variety of dresses, fabrics, and extras, immediate family members can participate, up to three backdrop & lighting set-ups, and online gallery viewing where you can order your favorite photos.
All you need to worry about is bringing nude & black seamless under garments, and your preferred jewelry.
HOW LONG DOES A MATERNITY SESSION LAST?
The session begins with a hair & make-up appointment which usually takes about 2 hours and then we'll start the photoshoot portion. You can expect to be at the studio anywhere between 4-5 hours.
CAN MY SPOUSE/PARTNER & KIDS BE INCLUDED?
YES! All sessions include immediate family members.
**HEALTH & SAFETY**
You and your baby's health & safety is always top priority. Pregnancies with health conditions are advised to first consult with your doctor to understand the limitations and not overexert your body.
HOW SOON SHOULD I BOOK MY NEWBORN SESSION?
It's always best to schedule your session prior to your baby's birth. The recommended time is either when you book your maternity session or in your second trimester.
Should the baby decide to arrive early, I reserve dates every month to ensure you have a spot in my calendar. I suggest designating someone you trust to contact me as soon as the baby arrives to rearrange the session date should it be needed.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SCHEDULE A NEWBORN SESSION?
We will schedule a date within the first 6 to 12 days of your due date. During this window, babies sleep more and are easier to pose & settle. Once they hit two weeks, they start to get stronger, heavier, less flexible and more awake, which makes it a bit more challenging to pose them. But don't be discouraged if you've passed this timeframe, I would still love to photograph your baby as long as my schedule can accommodate.
For babies who are born early, the ideal time for their photo session is when they've reached 6 to 8 lbs.

WHAT DOES A NEWBORN SESSION FEE INCLUDE?
Pre-session planning, access to YTP's blankets, wraps, baby props, headbands, & bonnets, immediate family members can participate, three set-ups/props, and online gallery viewing where you can order your favorite photos.
HOW LONG DOES A NEWBORN SESSION LAST?
All sessions are baby-led, meaning I work around your baby's cues. I never force a baby into a pose they aren't comfortable in, and so it takes time to figure out which ones they will allow. I also allot plenty of time for diaper changes, feedings & soothing the baby. On average, the session can take anywhere between 3-4 hours.
CAN MY SPOUSE/PARTNER & KIDS BE INCLUDED?
YES! All sessions include immediate family members.
**HEALTH & SAFETY**
Newborn health and safety is top priority. Therefore, I prefer to pose the baby in natural poses and never in unstable props. The studio is regularly cleaned and props are sanitized prior to every newborn session.
WHAT IS A MILESTONE SESSION?
Milestone sessions are designed to photograph your baby every month, every three or six months up to 12-13 months of age. The idea is to capture your little one as they develop their new skills such as rolling, sitting, crawling and walking.
HOW SOON SHOULD I BOOK A MILESTONE SESSION?
Most clients want their photos prior to their child’s first birthday so they can post on social media or have a print displayed at their birthday event. Booking at least one month prior is usually enough time to make this feasible.

WHAT DOES A MILESTONE SESSION FEE INCLUDE?
Pre-session planning to get you and your family ready for the session, access to YTP's outfits, immediate family members can participate, simple set-up & props, and online gallery viewing where you can order your favorite photos.
HOW LONG DOES A MILESTONE SESSION LAST?
Typically, this session will wrap up within an hour to an hour and a half. For a smooth session, the goal is to schedule the session in between naps and feedings so your toddler is happy & relaxed.
CAN I HAVE A CAKE SMASH?
A cake smash portion is always welcomed in the studio and left to the end of the session since it can get messy. You’ll need to bring a towel, lots of wipes, and a change of clothes.
HOW MANY OUTFIT CHANGES ARE RECOMMENDED?
When being changed, most little ones have a wrestling match with mom/dad or agitated when forced to sit still. Therefore, two outfits is usually the maximum amount recommended.
**HEALTH & SAFETY**
Your child's health & safety is top priority. Young children tend to get sick pretty often so it's always best to reschedule if your little one isn't feeling their best. Additionally, the studio is regularly cleaned and props are sanitized prior to every milestone session.
